What does Noble Desktop do?
Noble Desktop is a tech bootcamp that helps students develop skills in design and coding. Participants can take classes at their New York City campus or through their live online platform.
They offer certificate programs in web, visual, UX/UI, and graphic design, front-end and full-stack development, data science, software engineering, JavaScript, Python, and more. Under the design umbrella, Noble Desktop offers courses in topics such as InDesign, photoshop, and video editing. For coding, they offer courses in iOS app development, SQL, and Python for data science.
Courses are structured around lectures and activities. In the first half of class, instructors walk students through each exercise step-by-step. Then, participants spend the remainder of class working through assignments on their own. Students should spend time on their portfolios outside of class as well.
The lessons are not recorded. Therefore, students should attend each class. Classes usually meet for 6-8 hours per week. The courses in Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator are the shortest commitments. They can be completed in one 6-hour session. The longest is the full-stack web development certificate, which takes 12 weeks and 132 hours of class to complete.

What does Noble Desktop cost? How much work is involved?
Tuition for courses and certificates at Noble Desktop ranges from $325 to $5,490 depending on the length of the class. Payment plans are available for courses or certificates priced at $2,495 and above. In all cases, students are charged at the start of each unit.
Noble Desktop does not offer financing options. Classes can be taken again free of charge. To apply to Noble Desktop, candidates fill out a brief application. To enroll, all students pay a $250 deposit at checkout.
Ratings and reviews
The online reviews of Noble Desktop are generally positive. On CourseReport, students enrolled in the web development certificate program felt like they learned a lot from the course material, in-class activities, and instructors. One grad “found the hands-on approach very effective”. They noted that the instructors “explain an exercise step by step” and “then you have to complete it.”
Students on SwitchUp also praised the instruction and the curriculum, though some participants wished that the program included job-seeking assistance. Yelp reviewers found the courses to be particularly useful for beginners. One grad explained that “every instructor at Noble Desktop does an excellent job at teaching beginners how to use a program”. They also said that “more advanced students learn even more tricks.”
